Missing teeth can impact more than just your smile, they affect how you eat, speak, and feel about yourself. Dental implants offer a permanent, natural-looking solution that restores both confidence and function. In Mexico, you can access the same advanced procedures as in the U.S. at a fraction of the cost, without sacrificing safety or quality.
Whether you need a single implant or a full-mouth restoration, Mexico has become a trusted destination for life-changing dental care.
Treatment Overview: Why Get Dental Implants in Mexico?
Types of Dental Implants

Single Dental Implants
A single dental implant replaces one missing tooth at its root and crown, giving you a result that looks, feels, and functions like the real thing. The titanium post fuses with your jawbone, creating a stable base that preserves bone density and keeps neighboring teeth from shifting.
Once healed, a custom ceramic crown is secured to the implant. The crown’s color and shape are matched to your natural teeth, blending seamlessly into your smile. With normal brushing, flossing, and routine checkups, a single implant can last 20 years or more, making it a smart long-term investment in both oral health and confidence.

All-on-4
The All-on-4 system restores an entire upper or lower arch using just four strategically angled implants. This method maximizes existing bone, often eliminating the need for grafting and shortening treatment time. A fixed full-arch bridge is attached, giving you a stable, non-removable solution that will not slip or click like traditional dentures.
Patients appreciate that All-on-4 usually involves one surgical visit for implant placement and a provisional set of teeth the same day. After a short healing phase, your final bridge is fitted, delivering strong bite force, natural aesthetics, and renewed confidence—all at a cost far below replacing each tooth individually.

All-on-6 / All-on-8
If you have stronger bone volume or seek extra reinforcement, All-on-6 or All-on-8 adds two to four more implants per jaw for greater support and longevity. The additional implants spread chewing forces evenly, which can extend the life of the final bridge and feel even more like natural teeth.
This option is ideal for patients with moderate to severe tooth loss who want the highest possible stability, especially if they grind their teeth or favor a very firm bite. After the implants integrate with your jawbone, a custom full-arch bridge made from durable zirconia or acrylic is attached, delivering a resilient, life-like smile designed to last decades.

3-on-6
The 3-on-6 approach uses six implants—three on each side of the arch—to anchor three separate fixed bridges. Instead of one continuous prosthetic, each bridge covers a section of teeth, making hygiene simpler and allowing more natural gum contact.
Because the bridges are shorter and lighter than a single full-arch, many patients find them easier to clean and more comfortable. The design also distributes pressure efficiently, helping maintain healthy bone levels. For those seeking a balance between conventional bridges and larger All-on-X solutions, 3-on-6 delivers strong function, pleasing aesthetics, and straightforward maintenance.

Zygomatic Implants
Zygomatic implants are a specialized solution for patients with severe bone loss in the upper jaw, where traditional implants aren't viable without extensive bone grafting. Instead of anchoring into the jawbone, these extra-long implants are surgically placed into the zygomatic bone (cheekbone), which offers dense, stable support even in cases of advanced bone resorption.
They’re often used as part of a full-arch restoration, providing a graft-free alternative that shortens overall treatment time and simplifies recovery. Zygomatic implants allow patients who were once told they weren’t candidates for implants to regain full dental function and aesthetics, with fewer procedures and lasting results.

Mini Dental Implants
Mini dental implants are a smaller, less invasive option used primarily for stabilizing lower dentures or replacing small teeth in tight spaces. With a thinner diameter than conventional implants, they can be placed with minimal surgical intervention, often in a single visit and sometimes without sutures.
They're ideal for patients with reduced bone volume who may not want or qualify for bone grafts. While not typically suited for high-pressure areas like molars, mini implants offer a fast, affordable, and effective way to enhance denture stability or restore limited missing teeth, especially in the front of the mouth.

snap-in Dentures
Snap-in dentures combine the stability of implants with the convenience of removable teeth. Small titanium implants are placed in your jaw, then a custom denture “snaps” on them. This secure fit keeps the denture firmly in place while still allowing you to remove it for easy cleaning. Because the denture rests on implants instead of gums alone, you experience far less rubbing and sore spots than with traditional plates.
Snap-in dentures offer greater comfort, stronger chewing power, and clearer speech. You can enjoy a wider variety of foods without worrying about slipping or messy adhesives. The implants also stimulate your jawbone, helping prevent the bone loss that often follows tooth removal, so your facial profile stays fuller over time. Best of all, snap-in dentures are more affordable than full fixed bridges.

Follow up 10/15/2022: I just got back from 5 days in Baja and have my permanent teeth. 4 on 4 on the top, I upgraded to the Preet and am so glad I did. The look so natural!
And I got root canals and silicone crowns on my front bottom six months ago so they put 4 individual implants on the bottom. I feel so great, silly for smiling at everyone!
4/2022 Best full service dentist in Baja! Highly recommend! Very professional from the the initial stages of quotes on the phone to my 4 day treatment in their office. The office is clean, well furnished with the latest equipment, they have multiple Doctors with multiple specialties. Everyone was friendly, well trained and the place was packed with Americans of all ages.
This place is just south of Yuma, AZ. It’s a clean and safe little town with nice people and over 500 dentists and optical outlets. There’s a huge parking lot on the US side that is fenced with barbed wire at the top.
Los Aldogones is the place to go for all your dental needs. And huge savings too!

If there were TEN stars I would give them! From my first email inquiry, to setting up my appointment for dental work via phone calls and email, a perfect evaluation of my condition in my own personalized video consultation, to actually arriving in Mexico to getting my fabulous new smile at a FRACTION of the cost with the best personalized, highly professional care ever, I could think of NO other place for anyone to have dental procedures.
The clinic is state of the art, modern and pristine, the office staff as caring and helpful as ever, the supporting doctors are absolutely phenomenal, making you feel like you are a person and not just another patient.
I was quoted $32 thousand dollars in Los Angeles for upper arch only and had my wonderful smile makeover (upper arch) for under $5500 in Mexico.
My healing time was only a few days and was back at work without the slightest problem in one week. What I had done? 11 extractions, 8 mini implants, gum surgery all in 8 days! I am definitely going back when it's time to get my lower arch makeover, I cannot stress enough how amazing this place as are all the doctors and staff members!

My husband and I have been putting of our teeth pain and decided to come with our friends back in April 2024. They are all so very nice and kind and professional. The facility is modern and clean and they come and pick you up.
We had implant, extraction, bridge, cleaning and cavity fills and everything they have done is great. And the prices are very reasonable. If you have any questions they answer it and they NEVER feel like you have to get unnecessary work done, they tell you what's wrong and you make the decision. The front office staff and all the dentists we've encountered are all nice, we have been back 3x and each time we have had good experiences!
We live in Surprise AZ so the drive is only 2:40min. It's easy to get here you park in the parking lot and walk over and you call them and they send someone to pick you up. It's so convenient.

Everything You Need to Know About Dental Implants
There are several common dental implant solutions:
- Single Dental Implants: Ideal for replacing individual missing teeth, each implant supports one custom crown for a seamless, natural-looking restoration.
- All-on-4: An innovative solution using just four implants strategically placed to support a full arch of upper or lower teeth, offering excellent stability with minimal invasiveness.
- All-on-6/8: These procedures utilize six or eight implants to provide even greater support, stability, and long-term durability, making them ideal for patients who require a stronger or more comprehensive restoration.
- 3-on-6: In this method, six implants anchor three fixed dental bridges, providing a highly stable, easily maintainable, and aesthetically pleasing full-arch restoration.
Initial Consultation
Your journey starts with a comprehensive evaluation, including X-rays and 3D imaging to assess bone density and gum health. Your dentist will discuss your goals and propose a personalized treatment plan.
Implant Placement
During your first procedure, implants are carefully inserted into the jawbone under local anesthesia or sedation. The procedure typically takes a couple of hours, depending on the number of implants.
Healing Phase (Osseointegration)
After placement, you’ll undergo a healing period of approximately 3–6 months. During this critical phase, the implants integrate fully with your bone, creating a solid foundation for your new teeth.
Final Restoration
On your second trip, once osseointegration is complete, you’ll receive your custom-made crowns or bridges. These prosthetics are expertly designed to match your natural teeth in form, function, and appearance, completing your smile restoration.
Preparation ensures the best outcomes.
- Stop smoking at least a few weeks before your procedure, as tobacco significantly impacts healing.
- Avoid blood-thinning medications or supplements like aspirin, vitamin E, or fish oil unless medically required.
- Inform your dentist about any underlying medical conditions and current medications.
- Maintain good oral hygiene before the procedure to reduce the risk of complications.
Some patients lack sufficient jawbone to support implants. In such cases, your dentist might recommend a bone graft or sinus lift:
- Bone Grafting: Adds bone or bone-like materials to your jaw to create a solid foundation. Healing usually takes a few months before implants can be placed.
- Sinus Lift: Common for upper jaw implants. The sinus membrane is lifted, and bone material is added beneath it to allow for implant placement.
Both procedures are routine and safe, significantly improving implant success rates.
The dental implant process typically occurs over two separate visits spaced several months apart:
- Initial Implant Placement: Surgical placement of implants, with an initial recovery period of about a week.
- Osseointegration: Over the next 3–6 months, the implants fuse securely with the jawbone. Proper care ensures healing.
- Final Prosthetic Placement: Once healed, your permanent crowns or bridges are attached, restoring full function and aesthetics.
Dental implant surgery is usually performed under local anesthesia or sedation, ensuring a comfortable experience. After surgery, your dentist will provide pain medications to manage any discomfort or swelling. Most patients find post-operative pain minimal, and symptoms are easily managed with over-the-counter medication, ice packs, and rest.
Proper aftercare ensures your implants last decades or even a lifetime:
- Immediate Post-Operative Care: Expect minor swelling or discomfort; manage with medications, ice, and rest.
- Dental Hygiene: Brush and floss daily; consider using a water flosser or interdental brushes.
- Diet: Eat soft foods post-surgery; gradually return to normal. Avoid hard or sticky foods that may stress implants.
- Regular Checkups: Visit your dentist every 6 months to check for signs of infection or wear.
- Protect Your Implants: Don’t chew on hard objects or use your teeth as tools. If you grind your teeth, use a night guard.
Many dental insurance plans partially reimburse implant costs, even if the treatment is performed abroad. Medify assists you with:
- Detailed invoices and documentation to support your claims
- Clinics that offer financing or flexible payment plans
These options make top-quality implants in Mexico even more accessible and affordable.
Dental implants serve as the foundation for several types of restorations:
- Single Crowns: Replace one tooth seamlessly.
- Dental Bridges: Replace multiple teeth using a stable, fixed structure.
- Full-Mouth Restorations (All-on-4, All-on-6/8): Restore entire arches of missing teeth.
Discuss your options with your dentist to choose the best solution for your lifestyle and goals.
Implants aren’t the only option for missing teeth:
- Dentures: Removable and affordable, but less stable and may need periodic adjustments.
- Dental Bridges: Fixed but require altering adjacent teeth.
- Partial Dentures: Removable, flexible solutions for scattered tooth loss.
