Bone Graft Surgery in los algodones

Rebuild your jawbone for future implants while saving up to 70% on U.S. prices.

A dental bone graft adds or rebuilds bone in the jaw so a future implant has strong support. The graft material works as a scaffold that helps your body grow new bone over time.

In Los Algodones, clinics plan treatment with digital imaging and use gentle techniques to keep you comfortable. Most patients receive local anesthesia, clear after-care, and scheduling that fits short border trips.

Bone graft treatment Overview

  • Purpose: restore bone volume where an implant is planned.
  • Comfort: done with local anesthesia; light sedation may be available if appropriate.
  • Imaging: X-rays or 3-D scans map bone levels and the implant area for accuracy.
  • Procedure: a small opening is made, the site is prepared, and bone graft is placed and covered.
  • Materials: may be your bone, donor bone, or synthetic, all processed for safety.
  • Healing: bone matures over 4 to 6 months before implant placement.
  • After-care: expect mild swelling; follow cold packs, soft foods, and careful brushing.

First Visit: Graft Placement (2–3 Days)

    Digital Diagnostics

    01

Your dentist reviews your health, examines the area, and takes X-rays or a 3-D scan to measure bone volume and confirm the plan. You receive written instructions and anesthesia options.

    Surgical Grafting

    02

With the area numb, a small opening is made, the site is prepared, and bone graft is placed. A membrane or cover is positioned as needed, and the gum is closed with stitches.

    Next-Day Check

    03

A brief visit confirms comfort, reviews after-care, and adjusts medicines if needed. The team confirms you are fit for border travel and sets your remote or in-person check-ins.

Healing Phase at Home (4–6 Months)

    04
New bone forms around the graft. You keep the area clean, avoid pressure on the site, and contact your Los Algodones clinic if you notice unusual swelling or discomfort.

Second Visit: Evaluation or Implant Placement (1 Day)

    3-D Scan & Bone Assessment

    01

Imaging verifies solid bone volume and confirms the final implant size and position.

    Implant Placement or Final Clearance

    01
If ready, the dental implant is placed with local anesthesia. If more time is needed, your dentist gives a simple plan and next date for placement.

I was skeptical about coming down from Colorado to Mexico to get major dental work performed. My first appointment, the doctor gave me an extensive, honest, and complete assessment of my mouth.... and what he would do if he were me, and went to work immediately when I ok’d it.

I just finished the 1st of 2 phases on my mouth (5 implants, 4 extractions, 3 bone grafts). I have to waits 90 days for the implants to heal before coming back for the abutments and crowns for the implants. The office checked on me regularly during the recovery, and got me back quickly for each return appointment during the week.

I have had lots of crowns and implants done in the U.S., and the work here and the staffs professionalism is as good or better than any dentist I have ever dealt with. And the best thing, all the work was at LEAST 1/3 of the price I would have paid in the states! I highly recommend for anyone who needs substantial work done on their mouths.

This has been our dental destination for several years.

My entire group of friends comes here for any dental needs. Among us, we have probably ten implants and crowns, several bone grafts and specialty repairs and fillings, some now seven years old.

Therefore, I can say with confidence that this is a top quality choice.

I had a special request for a rather rare “German style” crown, with a gold core for a softer bite, to match my existing dental work, and no problem, I got exactly what I requested.

    I highly recommend this place.

    Comprehensive FAQ about bone graft

How do I know which graft type is right for me?

Your dentist in Los Algodones will review X-rays or a 3-D scan and choose the best match for your case, such as autograft (your bone), allograft (donor bone), or synthetic materials. All options are processed for safety and selected to support stable new bone.

How long before I can get implants?

Most patients are ready in 4 to 6 months, once the graft has matured. Your Los Algodones provider will confirm timing with a follow-up scan, and will schedule placement only when bone volume and density look solid.

    Does bone graft surgery hurt?

You receive local anesthesia so the area is numb. Expect mild soreness or swelling for a few days, managed with cold packs and the medicines your Los Algodones dentist prescribes.
